Summary: Enos Home Medical provides respiratory and sleep therapy services and is seeking a customer-focused CPAP & Respiratory Patient Care Coordinator. The role coordinates patient scheduling, equipment orders, insurance authorizations, medical documentation, compliance tracking, and administrative support for respiratory care.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate CPAP and respiratory patient scheduling and follow-up appointments
- Track patient compliance and assist with insurance documentation requirements
- Process insurance authorizations for respiratory equipment
- Manage reporting, order resolution, and documentation for respiratory patients
- Request and obtain Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMNs), physician chart notes, and other required documentation
- Monitor monthly authorization expiration reports and ensure timely renewals
- Review and manage weekly stop/hold reports for respiratory equipment
- Complete bi-weekly unconfirmed order reports and resolve outstanding issues
- Schedule preventative maintenance appointments and overnight oximetry testing
- Sort and process incoming electronic faxes daily
- Answer incoming telephone calls regarding patient questions, equipment orders, scheduling, and general inquiries
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in the showroom
- Schedule appointments for the Respiratory Therapist
- Provide daily administrative support to the Respiratory Therapist and assist with problem resolution
- Cross-train and provide departmental coverage when team members are out of the office
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal communication skills with confidence discussing insurance coverage and patient financial responsibilities
- Comfortable speaking with patients, physician offices, and insurance companies by phone
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in healthcare, durable medical equipment (DME), respiratory care, sleep medicine, or medical office administration is preferred
- Insurance authorization and medical documentation experience is highly desirable
