About the Role

We are looking for a creative, caring and enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to join our team at Forbes House.

You will help make everyday life meaningful and enjoyable for the people living in our care home by organising activities that reflect their interests, hobbies, abilities and personal preferences.

You will also help residents stay connected with their families, friends and local community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a variety of fun and meaningful activities.
• Get to know residents and understand their interests and preferences.
• Adapt activities to suit different abilities and individual needs.
• Encourage social interaction, creativity and wellbeing.
• Support residents to continue hobbies and interests that are important to them.
• Involve residents in choosing and developing activities.
• Build relationships with families, friends and local community groups.
• Organise activities and events within the home and community.
• Record participation and feedback.
• Work closely with the care team to support residents' wellbeing.
• Respect everyone's right to choose whether they want to participate.

Previous experience in activities, care, wellbeing, hospitality, education or community work would be beneficial, but the right personality and willingness to make a difference are just as important.
