Summary: Encorus Group is a multidisciplinary engineering firm seeking a Structural Engineering Intern. This internship provides students with hands-on experience in structural engineering, allowing them to work on various projects and develop their technical skills in a supportive environment. Responsibilities: - Assist with structural analysis, design, and detailing of steel, concrete, masonry, and timber systems - Support the development of design drawings, calculations, specifications, and project documentation - Perform basic drafting, redlines, documentation updates, and project file coordination - Coordinate design work with internal teams and external professionals, including architects and other engineering disciplines - Assist project managers with correspondence, material takeoffs, design concepts, calculations, and deliverables - Complete engineering assignments that require critical thinking and creative problem-solving for unique or non-standard structural conditions - Work independently on small project tasks and assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects - Participate in both office and field assignments, including site visits for field verification and inspections - Ensure accuracy, quality, and completeness of assigned deliverables Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled as a junior or senior in a Bachelor's degree program in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural concentration - Interest in pursuing Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and engineering/design software such as AutoCAD, MathCAD, STAAD Pro, or similar analytical tools - Ability to collect and verify design and field information, including dimensions, clearances, and constructability considerations - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment - Ability to comply with company drug screening, including pre-employment testing - Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local job sites Required Skills: Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MathCAD, STAAD Pro, Structural analysis, Structural design, Structural detailing, Design drawings, Engineering calculations, Project documentation, Field data collection, Constructability considerations
