Position Summary:
The Hardware Technician II/III is responsible for executing and overseeing complex technical tasks within a specialized area of expertise. This role involves initiating, organizing, and supervising projects. The position may include leading small teams on well-defined tasks or projects, ensuring high standards of performance and progress tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Complex Task Management: Manage hardware tasks including troubleshooting, retrofitting, systems and supporting work-cell bring-up.
Team Leadership: Lead small teams on automation/robotics projects, ensuring high-quality assembly and adherence to project specifications.
Travel: Extensive travel (up to 100%) to support project implementation, site operations, and team coordination across multiple locations. Travel stateside as well as abroad may be necessary.
Safety: Proficiency in safety protocols and demonstrated experience working in controlled environments is essential.
Attention to Detail: Commitment to quality and precision in all aspects of work, particularly in assembly and troubleshooting.
Collaboration: Effective communication and teamwork skills, capable of working independently or within a multidisciplinary team.
Adaptability: Flexibility to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Comprehensive understanding of general electrical systems, mechanics, electronics, connectors and cable assembly.
- Proficiency in safety protocols and experience working in controlled environments.
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on mechanical experience.
- Experience in robotics is highly desirable.
- ASE-Certified Mechanics are strongly encouraged to apply.
Skills:
- Strong technical proficiency in hardware, electrical systems, mechanical principle.
