They are seeking an Associate Site Reliability Engineer who will learn to operate highly available systems in AWS, contribute to incident response, and support deployment pipelines while collaborating with experienced SREs. Responsibilities: - Monitor and respond to alerts in production environments, participating in on-call rotations with guidance from senior team members - Assist in incident response, documenting issues and participating in postmortems to drive continuous improvement - Support deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/Jenkins, learning GitOps practices and Infrastructure as Code principles - Help maintain Kubernetes (EKS) clusters and containerized applications, developing fundamental container orchestration skills - Create and maintain basic monitoring dashboards in Datadog and Splunk under supervision - Execute runbooks and standard operating procedures for routine operational tasks - Contribute to infrastructure automation using Terraform with guidance from Lead and Senior SREs - Learn and apply financial services compliance requirements in day-to-day work - Document procedures, system configurations, and incident resolutions - Collaborate with development teams to understand application architecture and reliability requirements Required Qualifications: - 0-2 years of relevant experience in systems administration, DevOps, or software engineering - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) - Basic understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration - Familiarity with at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Bash, Go) - Foundational knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing) - Understanding of version control systems (Git) - Strong desire to learn and grow in SRE/DevOps practices - Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively - Willingness to participate in on-call rotation Preferred Qualifications: - Internship or academic projects involving cloud platforms (AWS preferred) - Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) - Familiarity with CI/CD concepts - AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate) - Understanding of monitoring and observability concepts Required Skills: AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform Important Skills: Python, Git Nice-to-Have Skills: Linux/Unix, Networking concepts, CI/CD, Monitoring concepts Benefits: Medical, dental, vision and life insurance, Retirement savings – 401(k) plan with generous company matching contributions (up to 6%), financial advisory services, potential company discretionary contribution, and a broad investment lineup, Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250/year, Business-casual environment that includes the option to wear jeans, Generous paid time off upon hire – including a paid time off program plus ten paid company holidays and three floating holidays each calendar year, Paid volunteer time — 16 hours per calendar year, Leave of absence programs – including paid parental leave, paid short- and long-term disability, and Family and Medical Leave (FMLA), Business Resource Groups (BRGs) – BRGs facilitate inclusion and collaboration across our business internally and throughout the communities where we live, work and play.
