Job Description
About Us
At Ellit Groups, we are passionate about bridging the gap between healthcare operations and IT, with the patient at the center of everything we do. Our mission is to drive innovation and deliver impactful solutions that redefine how care is delivered in the industry.
Ellit Groups is a Private Equity-backed, woman, minority-led healthcare IT consulting firm focused on Provider and Payer organizations. We partner with healthcare leaders who value operational excellence, real-world experience, and diverse perspectives to drive better outcomes.
Our firm is built by former healthcare operators who understand the realities of running complex healthcare systems. This combination of operator credibility and investment-backed growth enables us to deliver high-impact, scalable solutions.
The Opportunity
Our client is implementing a shared, enterprise-wide Epic electronic health record to replace a mix of paper records and separate systems that cannot share information. The new platform will improve care coordination, give providers real-time access to patient information, and make it easier for patients to access their own records.
The system will support a diverse network of healthcare facilities and organizations across behavioral health, correctional health, community health, rural health, and other specialized care settings.
The client is implementing the system in a cloud-hosted Epic environment. Ellit Groups has been selected as the implementation support vendor, offering an opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, enterprise Epic implementation serving diverse patient populations and care settings.
Project Details
- Project timeline: Long-term implementation engagement covering planning, build, testing, go-live, stabilization, and support
- Location: Remote, with periodic travel to client sites
- Client requirements: Staff must complete applicable background checks, onboarding, and site access requirements and follow all applicable privacy and data-handling requirements.
Role Overview
The Epic Beaker Clinical Pathology Analyst will configure, test, and implement laboratory workflows across complex healthcare environments. This role is part of the Ellit Groups implementation team supporting a large-scale Epic implementation.
This role is a strong fit for an experienced Epic-certified analyst seeking full-cycle implementation experience in a complex, high-visibility healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and test laboratory tests, specimen handling, processing, and result workflows.
- Partner with Orders and Interface analysts on instrument, reference laboratory, and downstream system integrations.
- Support laboratory integrated testing, end-user validation, go-live readiness, and stabilization activities.
- Work closely with the Team Lead or Application Manager on researching, planning, building, testing, and implementing approved project work.
- Analyze operational requirements and system capabilities to propose effective solutions and apply workflow practices to system configuration.
- Perform unit, system, and integration testing per project standards and document outcomes.
- Identify, escalate, and help resolve risks and issues; refer complex issues to the appropriate level of support.
- Participate in change control processes and follow defined standards and best practices.
- Support go-live readiness, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
- Maintain open, professional communication with end users, client stakeholders, and colleagues, using key change management principles.
- Meet application deliverables and project timelines; produce weekly status reporting and time tracking as requested.
Qualifications
Required
- Current Epic certification in Beaker Clinical Pathology.
- Prior experience working with Epic in the assigned application, including implementation, build, optimization, or support.
- Strong understanding of clinical laboratory operations and related healthcare workflows.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills, with a combination of technical, analytical, and customer service capabilities.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel periodically to client sites.
- Ability to pass applicable background checks and site access requirements, including requirements for secure healthcare facilities.
Preferred
- Prior Epic implementation or go-live experience.
- Medical Laboratory Scientist experience or a clinical laboratory operations background.
- Experience configuring Beaker Clinical Pathology workflows, including tests, specimens, processing, and results.
- Experience supporting laboratory instruments, reference laboratories, and interface integrations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Healthcare Administration, Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a multi-entity healthcare environment.
- Familiarity with applicable healthcare privacy, laboratory compliance, and data-handling requirements.
What We Offer

- Opportunities for professional growth and development.
- A supportive, collaborative, and innovative work environment.
