This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. The Commercial Product Development Intern will support the development and management of health insurance products serving employer-sponsored (commercial) markets. This internship provides hands-on experience in product strategy, market analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and healthcare innovation within the Commercial Health Benefits organization at Elevance Health.
Interns will work closely with product managers and cross-functional partners including sales, marketing, operations, underwriting, actuarial, provider strategy, and compliance. This role is ideal for students interested in healthcare, product management, business strategy, or insurance markets.
This internship will be a full-time (40 hours/week) program that will run for 10 weeks (May 18th, 2026 – August 7th, 2026).
How you will make an impact:
Support the development and enhancement of commercial health insurance products and benefit designs
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product strategy
Analyze product performance metrics and summarize insights for leadership
Assist in developing business cases, product documentation, and go-to-market materials
Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to project deliverables
Help evaluate regulatory, operational, and financial considerations impacting product decisions
Present findings and recommendations to product leadership at the end of the internship

Minimum Requirements:
Rising senior currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Data Analytics, or a related field
Able to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship (May 18th, 2026 – August 7th, 2026)
Preferred:
Experience with data analysis or coursework in statistics/finance
Leadership experience through student organizations, work, or community involvement
Knowledge and experience working with AI systems such as ChatGPT and Copilot
For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $28.64 to $38.33
