Job Description
Summary: Element Materials Technology is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world. They are seeking a Project Coordinator to perform order entry of incoming test requests and assist with various customer service tasks under the direction of the Office Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments & assist with customer pickup and return of samples
- Review customer PO’s, and enter work orders into the Labman system
- Verify that orders received include all necessary paperwork to allow for proper testing of samples
- Contact customers over PO discrepancies or to obtain additional test detail
- Serve as a point of contact for customers, assisting them with order status updates
- Distribute entered sample/material to required processing departments
- Work with Production and Laboratory personnel to expedite work
- Insure that requirements for Subcontracting of work are met and generate required documentation, upon request
- Alert staff to expedite/ rush work and follow-up on issues
- Promptly address revised PO’s for work in progress by entering the new PO’s into the system and communicating changes to appropriate department supervisor
- Interact with internal departments on questions or issues related to particular projects
- Assists with coordination of production, quality and process improvements
- Will occasionally function in the role of Quality Administrator for typing certifications and emailing to the customer
- Ensures all work is performed in accordance with company safety and quality policies and procedures and regulatory agency regulations
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or lab management
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a two-year technical program or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
- Relevant experience in logistics, customer service or a materials testing or manufacturing environment desired
- This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or U.S. Government export authorization is required
- Any offer of employment is contingent upon the employer obtaining the necessary export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security, the U.S. Department of State's Office of Defense Trade Controls, or other applicable government agency
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a similar technical discipline is preferred
