Summary: Element Materials Technology is a global TIC business seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their growing team. The role involves operating complex mechanical testing equipment, supervising staff, and maintaining accurate records while ensuring compliance with internal procedures and quality standards. Responsibilities: - Interpretation of internal and client requirements - Supervising allocated staff and being responsible for the day to day management of the relevant discipline - Operating complex mechanical testing equipment - Maintaining accurate and systematic records - Performing other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory - Performing general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system - Application of instrumentation and the setting up of complex data capture equipment - Report writing, data interpretation and analysis Required Qualifications: - Educated to a good general standard including English and Maths - Degree level or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant materials related discipline - Hands-on job - Sound mechanical bias - Previous experience in an appropriate Engineering environment is a distinct advantage - Experience of working within a Mechanical testing environment is advantageous - An understanding of a recognised Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial - Self motivated Technician with the ability to multi task, organise and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory - Excellent attention to detail - Strong written and verbal communication skills - A team player attitude - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Required Skills: Mechanical Engineering Degree, Mechanical Testing Experience Important Skills: ISO 17025 Knowledge, Data Analysis Skills Nice-to-Have Skills: Problem Solving Skills
