Job Description
Summary: Element Materials Technology is a rapidly expanding company focused on making the world a safer place. The Mechanical Engineering Technician will perform various testing and quality assurance duties, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and client requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system
- Following all written procedures
- Interpretation of internal and client requirements
- Apply an array of testing techniques in a rational and practical style to help examine issues and build solutions
- Operating testing equipment
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentation
- Application of instrumentation and the setting up of complex data capture equipment
- Report writing, data interpretation and analysis
- Perform other duties to fulfil the demands of the laboratory
- Maintain client confidentiality at all times
Required Qualifications:

- Ability to analyze and compile testing data from the tests performed
- Self-motivated with the ability to multitask, organize and work under the pressure of a busy commercial test laboratory
- Working knowledge of laboratory safety
- In-depth understanding of testing concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree or experience working within a mechanical testing environment preferred
- Hands-on job
