Job Description
Position Summary
The Onsite Supervisor serves as the primary liaison between Elective Staffing and our client’s warehouse operations. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily performance of our associate workforce, ensuring staffing levels are met, and maintaining a safe, productive environment. You will act as the face of the company on the warehouse floor, driving employee engagement and operational excellence during the second shift.
Key Responsibilities
Workforce Management & Onboarding
- Onboarding: Conduct comprehensive orientation and onboarding for all new hires to ensure they are prepared for their roles.
- Attendance & Coverage: Proactively manage employee attendance, handle call-offs, and secure shift coverage to meet daily headcount goals.
- Recruitment Support: Participate in job fairs, field recruiting efforts, and local events to maintain a strong pipeline of talent.
- Compliance: Coordinate and track drug screens, E-Verify, and background checks; maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
Operational Leadership
- Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular floor walks to check in with associates, monitor performance, and provide real-time coaching or disciplinary action as needed.
- Staffing Analytics: Track daily fill rates and headcount requirements to provide management with data-driven updates on operational status.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and dress code requirements.
- Payroll Support: Verify hours and correct missing punches to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
Client & Employee Relations
- Communication: Maintain daily, professional communication with warehouse supervisors and client management to align on production goals.
- Conflict Resolution: Assist with employee relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts fairly and promptly.
- Retention Initiatives: Execute engagement programs designed to improve employee morale and reduce turnover.
Incident & Injury Management
- Injury Response: Assist employees with work-related injuries, ensuring they receive appropriate care and that all injury paperwork is completed accurately.
- Reporting: Ensure all incidents are reported promptly according to company and client procedures.
- Coordination: Act as the bridge between injured employees, client management, and the HR team throughout the recovery process.
