Job Description
The Process Intelligence Data and Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for discovering, analyzing, and optimizing business processes through process mining, process mapping, workflow analytics, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled workflow design. The role delivers actionable insights that improve operational performance, identifies automation candidates, and supports data-driven process transformation initiatives.

Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical and prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Short- and long-term disability, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage are provided at no cost to associates. Edward Jones offers a 401k retirement plan, and tax-advantaged accounts: health savings account, and flexible spending account. Essential Functions
- Lead process mining analyses to identify process variants, bottlenecks, rework, compliance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Develop current-state and future-state process maps using process mining data, task mining insights, and operational data sources.
- Partner with process intelligence, automation, and engineering teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities.
- Design and evaluate AI-enabled workflow solutions that improve efficiency, decision quality, and user experience.
- Extract, cleanse, transform, and validate process and operational data from multiple enterprise systems.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and process performance metrics to measure cycle time, throughput, quality, automation adoption, and business outcomes.
- Perform root cause analysis, scenario modeling, trend analysis, and process performance assessments.
- Translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations for process redesign and continuous improvement.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for process mining platforms, workflow analytics, and business intelligence tools.
- Document process intelligence methodologies, standards, controls, and reporting practices.
- 3-5 years of experience in analytics, process improvement, process mining, business intelligence, automation, or a related field, including at least 2 years supporting process analytics, workflow optimization, or operational data initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline required; advanced degree and/or relevant certifications preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of process mining, process mapping, workflow analysis, process performance measurement, and process optimization methodologies.
- Proficiency with SQL, data modeling, visualization tools, analytics platforms, enterprise data environments, and process intelligence toolsets; familiarity with automation technologies, low-code/no-code platforms, and AI-enabled business processes.
- Proven ability to solve complex business challenges using data-driven insights, identify automation and AI opportunities, and connect process performance metrics to business outcomes.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with experience leading analytical workstreams, providing technical guidance, facilitating process discovery and solution design discussions, and influencing process transformation initiatives across functions.
Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.
