Job Description
Summary: ECS Group of Companies is a leader in geotechnical, construction materials, environmental, and facilities consulting services. They are seeking a Building Science & Infrastructure Consulting Intern to conduct field observations, perform facilities-related services, and effectively communicate with site contractors and project managers.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting field observations associated with existing facilities
- Performing facilities related services including roofing and waterproofing, fireproofing and firestopping, exterior insulation finish systems (EIFS), anchor testing, coring, scanning, material sampling, leak investigations, and forensic investigations
- Interacting and communicating effectively with site contractors, other technicians, and project managers
Required Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Master's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or related degree
- Interest in building forensics, mechanical systems, and structures
- Position requires carrying 40 – 70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lifting 85 lbs to waist height
- Must be able to provide suitable transportation for use on job sites - mileage will be reimbursed
