Office Manager
Location: San Francisco, CA
Schedule: 5 days onsite
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized, resourceful, and hands-on Office Manager to own the day-to-day operations of our San Francisco office. In this role, you’ll be the heartbeat of our workplace — creating an environment where our team can do their best work.
This is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup setting, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and takes pride in building systems and processes from the ground up.
What You’ll Do
Own the Office Experience
Ensure the office is organized, well-stocked, and operating smoothly at all times
Coordinate maintenance, repairs, facilities needs, and janitorial services
Serve as the primary liaison with building management
Manage shipping and receiving, mail distribution, and package logistics
Oversee office equipment setup, troubleshooting, and inventory
Vendor & Operations Management
Source and manage office-related vendors and service providers
Order and manage office supplies, snacks, and kitchen inventory
Coordinate team lunches, catering, and in-office events
Monitor and track office-related budgets and expenses
Create a Great Workplace Environment
Manage visitor check-in and ensure a welcoming, professional experience
Support onboarding logistics including workspace and equipment setup
Help plan and execute team gatherings and internal events
Systems & Communication
Establish and maintain digital and physical file organization systems
Support internal communications related to office updates and logistics
Identify process improvements and implement scalable solutions
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience in office management, workplace operations, or similar role
Strong communication skills — written and verbal
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic startup environment
Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable with ambiguity
Tech-savvy; comfortable with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office
Excited to be onsite five days per week in San Francisco
Bonus Points
Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
Experience building office systems or processes from scratch
Strong vendor negotiation skills
