Job Description
Summary: East West Bank is a premier financial bridge between the East and West, dedicated to developing future banking professionals through their Summer Analyst Program. The program provides hands-on experience across all stages of commercial lending transactions, enabling analysts to develop essential analytical and interpersonal skills while working closely with experienced banking professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting with all stages of commercial lending transactions from screening and structuring to underwriting and closing
- Analyzing and spreading financial statements
- Conducting industry analysis
- Supporting Relationship Managers / Portfolio Managers in evaluation of financial projection models
- Learning fundamentals of credit analysis and underwriting
- Assisting with portfolio management and loan monitoring
- Participate in a comprehensive skill set evaluation at the end of the program, including the preparation and delivery of final presentation demonstrating knowledge and applied competencies
- May perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a four-year undergraduate program majoring in finance, economics, accounting, business management or other related fields
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Detail oriented, intellectually curious, highly motivated and strong work ethic
- Understanding of generally accepted accounting & finance principles
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and desire to work in a collaborative team environment
- Junior or Senior in college with expected graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027
- In office position 5 days a week. This is not a remote position
