Job Summary
The Part-Time Temporary Clerical Support position at ETSU’s Kingsport Allandale site provides essential administrative assistance to support efficient day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for front-line office support, including greeting visitors, managing communications, maintaining records, and assisting with general office coordination. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, student- and community-facing environment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of general office procedures and clerical practices
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to provide courteous and professional customer service
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced setting
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior clerical, administrative, or customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a higher education or professional office setting
Familiarity with office systems, scheduling tools, or student services environments
