They are seeking a motivated Backend Engineering Intern to contribute to backend systems and collaborate with various teams in a fast-paced fintech environment. Responsibilities: - Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of backend services for the Offers platform - Build APIs and services that power user-facing features and partner integrations - Collaborate with product, design, data science, and analytics teams to deliver end-to-end solutions - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices - Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software - Gain exposure to distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure - Learn and apply industry-standard tools and technologies used in large-scale systems Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field - Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and debugging - Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, or similar - Familiarity with backend development concepts such as APIs and databases - Exposure to relational or NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, DynamoDB) is a plus - Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn - Ability to make thoughtful decisions and clearly communicate tradeoffs and ideas - Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: - Prior internship experience is a plus, but not required Required Skills: Computer Science Fundamentals, Data Structures, Algorithms, Debugging, Programming Languages, Java, Kotlin, Python, Go, Backend Development, APIs, Databases, Relational Databases, NoSQL Databases, Curiosity
