Job Description
Summary: EA Engineering is a company that fosters collaboration and innovation to tackle complex environmental challenges. They are seeking a self-motivated entry level Geologist to assist in various phases of multidisciplinary environmental projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the planning, fieldwork and reporting phases for a wide range of multidisciplinary environmental projects
- Preliminary assessments
- Phase I and II environmental site assessments
- Site/remedial investigations
- Third-party construction oversight
- Remedial design support under commercial, State and Federal Programs
Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in Geology with a focus on hydrogeology, geophysics, structural geology preferred
- 0-3 years of experience with environmental consulting, including field-sampling procedures, monitoring well installation, analytical data interpretation and reporting
- Basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft office suite) required; GIS experience a plus
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Willingness to travel out of state for project tasks lasting several weeks or more
- This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current OSHA HAZWOPER and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred
Required Skills: BS in Geology, Environmental consulting experience
Important Skills: Field-sampling procedures, Monitoring well installation, Analytical data interpretation, GIS experience
Nice-to-Have Skills: OSHA HAZWOPER certification, First Aid/CPR certification, Basic computer skills
