Job Description
Summary: Morgan Stanley is a worldwide leader in Investment Banking, and they are seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join their Shareholder Activism and Corporate Defense Team. The role involves analyzing corporate and financial information, managing deal execution on high-profile mandates, and collaborating with various teams to provide integrated client advice.
Responsibilities:
- Building and auditing complex and innovative analyses and datasets to identify key themes, trends and implications – both quantitatively and qualitatively
- Managing day-to-day deal execution on high-profile live defense mandates (including proxy contests and contested M&A) and pitches (to drive client marketing / targeting efforts)
- Partnering cross-functionally with all industry and geographical coverage officers, and other product teams, to deliver integrated client advice
- Analyzing detailed corporate, financial, legal, and regulatory information to inform decision-making while thinking strategically and tactically in complicated situations
- Maintaining a strong commercial instinct and ability to perform under tight deadlines and pressure, with strong interpersonal and client communication skills
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience in investment banking, capital markets, or corporate finance-related role is required
- Possess basic knowledge of and a keen interest in finance
- Analytical, adaptive, multi-tasker, team player and have a strong work ethic and leadership skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Top education credentials; Bachelor's degree is required
- Series licensing or must obtain
