Job Description
Summary: Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. They are seeking an Associate, Platforms to support complex initiatives for the EquityZen platform, collaborating with product leadership and engineering teams to enhance user-centric products and facilitate product roll-outs.
Responsibilities:
- Support complex and time-sensitive initiatives that help push the EquityZen platform forward
- Work closely with senior product leadership to aid in the execution of the company roadmap
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to build accessible, user-centric products with a strong focus on user experience
- Draft detailed specs and business-facing documentation, create wireframes, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and assist in A/B testing and product roll-outs
- Provide support for platform incidents and training for impending releases
- Develop meticulous technical and external-facing documentation, including API specifications and integration guides, to support seamless internal development
- Analyze qualitative and quantitative data on customer usage patterns to uncover product insights and support data-driven decision making
- Participate in agile ceremonies and partner with Engineering to ensure the timely delivery of product releases
- Gather and organize feedback from Sales, Operations, Compliance, and other internal teams to help inform current and future product stories and enhancements
Required Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in product management, or a related role (e.g., business analyst, operations, engineering) at a technology startup
- Undergraduate degree, preferably with a concentration in Technology, Finance, or Economics
- An interest in Fintech, Wealthtech, private markets, or highly regulated industries (previous industry experience is a plus)
- Experience assisting with the product lifecycle—from ideation and drafting specs to supporting project execution and product launches
- Familiarity with user-centered design principles, basic wireframing skills, and an eagerness to partner effectively with UI/UX designers and engineers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use quantitative data and qualitative insights to iterate on ideas
- Familiarity with data analytics platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Google Analytics) and a willingness to learn A/B testing methodologies; basic SQL is a plus
- Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively share updates, draft documentation, and gather feedback across the organization
- Entrepreneurial drive and a bias for action; eager to navigate the uncertainty of new products and learn how to prioritize initiatives effectively
- A demonstrated passion to learn, grow your product skillset, and contribute to a collaborative team environment
