Field Technician (Baltimore) at DSI Tech in Ashburn, VA

Field Technician

ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED (Baltimore, Maryland)

We are seeking dependable and flexible Temporary Field Technicians to support a short-term project involving phone setup and installation across multiple locations. Candidates must be available to start on December 1 and work through December 31.

This is an entry-level opportunity, and prior technical experience is not required. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on technical experience in a field-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Unbox, organize, and prepare phone equipment for installation
• Set up phone lines and equipment
• Install phones on walls at various locations
• Travel between assigned locations throughout the day
• Follow instructions and established procedures to complete installations accurately and efficiently

Work Schedule

• Temporary assignment: December 1 through December 31
• Typical schedule: 2 pm - 10 pm, approximately 40 hours per week
• Shift schedules may vary throughout the week based on project needs
• Must be flexible and available to work overtime as needed

Requirements

• Must reside in the Baltimore, Maryland area and be able to commute to multiple work locations
• Reliable transportation is required
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and remain on your feet for most of the shift
• Dependable, punctual, and able to follow directions
• Willing and able to travel between assigned locations during the workday

Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior technical experience required
• Basic familiarity with tools or installation is helpful but not required
• Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, project-based environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Salary

Salary range for this role is $20 -$25 per hour.
