The City Scholars Software Developer Interns will work on industry leading systems for capturing and presenting data from financial exchanges, tackling real-world challenges in scalability and data protocols. Responsibilities: - Join a team of experienced software engineers working on industry leading systems for capturing, cataloging, indexing and presenting data from financial exchanges - Overcome scalability challenges with cloud technology - Understand low level networking concepts and decode binary data protocols - Work on real problems requiring real solutions and put code in production by the end of the semester Required Qualifications: - Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar - Understanding of cloud technology and scalability challenges - Familiarity with low level networking concepts - Ability to decode binary data protocols - Knowledge of financial exchanges and their matching engines Required Skills: Cloud technology, Low level networking, Binary data protocols Important Skills: Financial exchanges knowledge Nice-to-Have Skills: Programming Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Fall
