Summary: Douglas County is seeking an Office Associate to provide essential office support to the Sheriff's Department. The role involves processing documentation, overseeing records completion, and collaborating with deputies to ensure accurate reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Provides office support to the Douglas County Sheriff's Department
- Responsible for reviewing and processing department documentation to ensure timely routing/availability to the State, other agencies and the public
- Oversee records/documentation completion and communicating with officers to correct issues
- Work with Deputies on accurate/timely completion of statistical documents and reports for State grant reporting criteria as well as law enforcement reporting criteria
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with the general public, including excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Accurate keyboarding skills
- Mathematical aptitude
- Ability to prioritize workload and maintain accuracy
- Ability to provide accurate and truthful testimony in court, when required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduation from a vocational or accredited technical college with one (1) year of computer or office support experience
- Legal Experience or Prior Work-related Experience within the State Court system
