Job Description
Summary: Divisions Maintenance Group provides facility maintenance services to retail chains and distribution and fulfillment centers across the country. The Security Engineering Intern will be responsible for protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks, and securing highly sensitive data.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and defining system security requirements
- Designing computer security architecture and developing detailed cyber security designs
- Configuring and troubleshooting security infrastructure devices
- Developing technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
- Implementing, enhancing, and managing security tools and technologies that support the mission to identify and protect DMG IT assets, detect security incidents, and rapidly respond and recover
- Performing system administration tasks necessary for security tool platform maintenance, typically on Linux and Microsoft based systems
- Can work effectively with a team
Required Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree In Information Systems or Computer Science with a focus in Cybersecurity
- Knowledge of security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to effectively present to internal audiences
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, work independently and take initiative on assigned projects
- Strong sense of urgency and responsiveness
- Ability to manage the stress of a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet the in-person requirements of the team and/or business needs
