Job Description
Summary: Walt Disney Parks and Resorts aims to inspire magic by pushing the limits of entertainment. The Disneyland Resort's Architecture & Facility Engineering Services Division offers an internship to develop professional skills and provide technical support on various projects including attractions, maintenance, and entertainment facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist project Engineers – Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical, in all phases of project work, from drafting, on-site as-built documentation, design coordination with outside design consultants, field data collection, light design / production work, construction administration, commissioning, and closeout documentation for a variety of projects ranging in scope from minor rehabs to building new facilities
Required Qualifications:
- • Experience working with AutoCAD, REVIT and/or BIM (Building Information Modeling)
- • Demonstrated/proven strong leadership, technical and interpersonal skills
- • Self-starter with demonstrated initiative - able to handle multiple tasks and priorities
- • Availability to work various shifts commensurate with project requirements
- • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior or Graduate student at an accredited college/university, earning a Bachelor or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- • GPA of 3.0 or higher (no rounding)
- • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
- • Be at least 18 years of age
- • Possess unrestricted work authorization
- • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
- • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines
- • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
- • Fully available Monday thru Friday, PST for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week
- • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Anaheim, CA area
- • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
Preferred Qualifications:
- • Prior related work experience is desired, including co-op/intern programs with a focus on architecture, engineering, or construction
- • Coursework or prior work experience in Power Plant design(Chilling plants, Boiling plants)
- • Coursework or prior work experience in Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning (HVAC) Design
- • Coursework or prior work experience in Thermo , Fluid Dynamics, Chiller and Boiler plant and/or Thermodynmapics/Fluid Flow
