Job Description
Summary: Dimensional Fund Advisors is a leading investment firm, and they are seeking an Analyst for their Portfolio Management team. The Analyst will support daily needs, collaborate with team members, and engage in projects to enhance portfolio management processes.
Responsibilities:
- Support cash management of portfolios with credit lines, currency hedges and cash forecasting
- Analyze voluntary corporate events and recommend elections to Portfolio Managers
- Prepare data for Portfolio Manager presentations to clients and internal executives
- Complete ad hoc requests from Portfolio Managers
- Propose and execute projects that increase process efficiency and improve portfolio outcomes
- Collaborate across business functions and teams, both internal and external to the firm
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Demonstrated understanding of and alignment with Dimensional's investment strategy
- Time-management skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to excellent work quality
- Comfort with large data sets
- Verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent quantitative problem-solving and analytic skills
- Intellectual curiosity
- Background or interest in finance and financial theory
- Aptitude for learning basic computer programming languages and software
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of SQL, VBA, and/or Excel is helpful
