Job Description
Summary: Dewberry is a leading professional services firm seeking a Structures (Bridge) Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 in their Mechanicsburg, PA office. The role involves designing bridges and transportation-related structures, developing contract plans, and providing construction support services.
Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be part of a team designing simple and complex bridges (primarily of steel and concrete construction) and a variety of transportation related structures (retaining walls, culverts, sign structures, and other miscellaneous structures) using applicable software
- The candidate will also be involved in the development of contract plans, the preparation of engineer's estimates and construction specifications, and performing construction support services
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Civil Engineering
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency using CADD (Microstation preferred)
- A desire to work in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with PennDOT is preferred, but not required
- Local candidates preferred, no housing stipend will be provided
