Job Description
Summary: Dewberry is currently seeking a Highway Engineering Intern for Summer 2026 to join their Transportation Group in Mount Laurel, NJ. This position offers tremendous potential for professional growth and the opportunity to apply the latest technology to help clients solve challenging problems while working on roadway and transit projects.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of engineers, planners, and technicians on roadway and transit projects
- Assist in all facets of highway engineering including design of horizontal and vertical alignments, drainage systems, traffic signal systems, utility relocations, development of maintenance and protection of traffic schemes, and preparation of right-of-way and contract plans for a variety of project types and clients
- Ability to learn planning and design aspects of projects
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship experience preferred
- MicroStation experience preferred
- Task Management and leadership skills preferred
