Project Engineer at DESIGN HAUS MEDY in Dubai

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer to support our projects in Cape Town. The position may be offered on a freelance/contract basis, depending on experience and project requirements.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in both landscape site works and interior fit-out projects, with strong knowledge of project coordination, site execution, and contractor management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate project activities from site execution through completion.

Supervise and monitor landscape and interior fit-out works.

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.

Monitor project progress, quality, timelines, and site requirements.

Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Identify and resolve site-related technical and coordination issues.

Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Prepare progress reports and provide regular updates to management.

Coordinate with design and drafting teams where required.

Ensure proper site documentation and project records are maintained.

Requirements:

Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Project Engineer / Site Engineer.

Strong landscape site experience is essential.

Experience in interior fit-out projects is essential.

Good understanding of construction methods, drawings, materials, and site coordination.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and manage site activities independently.

Candidates based in or available to work in Cape Town are preferred.
