Expected Pay Range: $100,000 - $113,000/Year
Summary and Scope The Child Well-Being Lead Specialist assigned to a Lead-only sector provides on-site program presence, clinical expertise, child well-being advisement, and sector-level coordination in support of the Child Well-Being Program. In sectors without permanently assigned Child Well-Being Specialists, the Lead Specialist serves as the primary Child Well-Being Program representative and may perform direct Specialist functions, including child well-being interventions, assessments, recommendations, documentation, and coordination of care, based on operational need. The position maintains communication with facility leadership, the Child Well-Being Program management team, and other stakeholders and provides supervisory support when PRN, floater, or other Specialist personnel are temporarily assigned to the sector.
Essential Functions
- Serve as the primary on-site Child Well-Being Program representative and child well-being subject-matter resource within the assigned sector.
- Maintain required program presence and availability in accordance with the SOW and respond to operational or emergent needs within the assigned sector.
- Conduct environmental observations and identify child well-being concerns, operational trends, and opportunities to support trauma-informed care.
- When operationally necessary, perform Child Well-Being Specialist functions, including direct engagement, interventions, case coordination, documentation, and recommendations related to child well-being.
- Generate, review, and maintain required program reports and documentation.
- Provide staffing or coverage needs to program management and support integration of PRN/floater personnel when deployed to the sector.
- Maintain readiness to support surge or crisis operations and other program requirements.
- Respond to information requests by providing standardized process and result metrics reports to support the monitoring and evaluation of program success.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
- Required: Master's degree in Behavioral Health, Applied Behavior Analysis, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
- Required: Hold a full, current, and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Doctor level prepared psychologist (LP) or equivalent.
- Required: 5+ years post-licensure experience in child development, culturally aware and trauma-centered care, performing clinical evaluations in direct engagement with children and their families.
- Required: 2+ years of management experience leading and supervising staff, with a preferred experience supervising master-level mental health professionals.
- Desired: 1+ year of experience in cultural humility, child development, trauma-informed care, and psychological distress training and development.
- Desired: Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see, hear, sit for extended periods, stand, walk, engage in repetitive motions, and use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, tools, or controls. May lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
Expected Hours of Work The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends will be required based on contract needs. It is expected for this position to attend regular meetings during typical work hours in Eastern Standard Time as well as meetings as needed for assigned projects in other time zones.
Work Environment This position operates in professional office, facilities, and field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. The position routinely uses standard office equipment, hand tools, site equipment and vehicles, and is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company. There is an expectation of clear written and verbal communication in English.
Travel This role may require occasional travel. The ability to travel to job sites and be away for extended periods of time based on contract needs is required. Short notice travel is required with 24-48 hours’ notice.
Work Authorization • Must be authorized to work in the United States. • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS). • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, occupational health physical and lift test (if applicable), credit check, and a background check upon accepting a conditional offer of employment. • Must possess a valid driver's license. Have/maintain a clean driving record.
