They are seeking a Financial Analyst to join their Financial Analysis team, responsible for developing and implementing financial concepts for planning and control, as well as conducting market analyses and financial modeling for venture investments. Responsibilities: - Conduct early stage venture market analysis, startup landscapes, market opportunity sizing, and assess emerging venture areas - Complete financial analysis for valuations and exit analysis - Responsible for managing and tracking new start-ups and input portfolio data into tracking tool for financial modeling and portfolio reporting - Research and develop market intelligence overviews and strategic tie-ins to Dell Technologies Strategically Aligned Businesses - Work with Sr. Mgmt. and Managing Directors on refining investment themes, market landscapes, strategic issues and directed investment opportunities Required Qualifications: - Regularly reviews technology blogs and research reports (e.g. VentureBeat, and TechCrunch, etc.) - Ability to conduct primary research on a wide range of technology and business areas - Experience with scripting and parsing tools and techniques, SQL, databases, and use of open source software along with working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint, Salesforce - Project/Program/Finance and Business Development experience - A preliminary understanding of the venture capital industry and structure Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to work independently with a willingness to work small projects for quick implementation with little direction - Strong problem solving skills - Analytical capabilities - Data analysis - Attention to detail - Excellent cross-group collaboration and communication skills - Undergraduate Degree in Finance, Engineering or Accounting Required Skills: Financial modeling, Market analysis Important Skills: SQL, Data analysis, Excel, Venture capital knowledge Nice-to-Have Skills: PowerPoint, Project management Benefits: Your life.
