What Will You Do?
This position performs revenue cycle duties including but not limited to:
processing patient insurance information through the patient intake process
ensuring thetimelyandaccuratesubmission of insurance claims
collecting payment on outstanding patient balances
Example of dailyresponsibilitiesincludes:
Performduties for revenue operations department related toeithermedical insurancebilling,collectionsor patient access
Communicatewithinsurancepayers to ensureproper insurance coverage for our patientsor to ensuretimelyandaccuratereimbursement for dialysis servicesrenderedat our clinics
Review andsubmitsystem setup requests toappropriate teamsto ensure center and payer information is loaded into the billing system foraccuratebilling
Respondtimelyand accurately to payer communications
Collaborate with otherrevenue operationsteams to ensure seamlessprocesses across teams
Partner withclinicsteammates such as Insurance counselors, socialworkersand facility administrators to ensuretimelyandaccurateinsurance information
Helpidentifyprocess changes and opportunitiesfor continuous improvements
Maintain current patient account information at all times
Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient informationin accordance withHIPAA regulations and DaVita policies
Other duties could include:
May be asked to work overtime as needed
Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
Know,understandand follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
Experience and required skills
Noprevioushealthcare Experienceisrequired
Excellent communication skills: (Written & Verbal). The position involves regular communication with insurancepayors, employers, or other teams.
Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills:Patient account and every insurance payor is different. The ability to think through a situation and carefullyidentifythe best action to take is critical to be successful at this role
Abilityto adaptquicklyand manage stress:Our environment can change quicklyon a daily basis. Adapting and managing stress is important forsuccess
Relationships Building:Working in teams and with other departments is central to this position
MinimumQualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic computer skills andproficiencyin MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Trainingprovided byDaVita:
Knowledge ofrevenue cycle, insurance rules, and regulationsfor federal, state, and/or managed care payers in multiple states
Knowledge of medical billing and reimbursement practices
Usage of DaVita billing and reimbursement systems
Basic medical reimbursement terminology
Basic knowledge of healthcare reimbursement accounting principles

The Wage Range for the role is $19.50 - $23.00 per hour.
