Job Description
Summary: Databricks is a data and AI company that helps data teams solve complex problems. As a Workforce Intelligence MBA intern, you'll work on impactful projects to drive decisions about hiring, training, and coaching at Databricks while being mentored by senior leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Execution: Own the end-to-end outcome for at least one major team-wide initiative (e.g., optimizing a specific People practice or workstream) from data gathering to executive recommendation
- Technical Excellence: Develop and enhance our data foundation by building advanced BI dashboards, AI-first conversational interactions, and automated solutions that are scalable and maintainable
- SME Partnership: Act as a thought partner to company leaders, translating workforce intelligence into actionable insights that will impact the performance of all Bricksters
- Advanced Analytics: Execute complex analysis - including basic forecasting using time-series data - to predict trends in hiring, retention, or employee engagement
- Strategic Communication: Convert recurring analysis requests into self-service tools, enabling leaders to make data-driven decisions independently
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an MBA with a graduation date in Spring 2027
- 3–5 years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, People Analytics, Management Consulting, or a highly analytical operations role
- Advanced skills in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI) and a strong grasp of SQL
- Ability to recognize and effectively navigate ambiguity with limited direction, turning 'messy' data into a clear narrative
- Ability to identify data gaps in operational processes and propose solutions to close them
- Excellent communicator, with an ability to synthesize complex information into clear, insightful takeaways and action-oriented recommendations
- Ready to collaborate closely with colleagues and network across functional areas to foster Databricks' cultural values
