Join Danske Bank’s Post Trade Reconciliation and Depositary Services team and help build reliable, automated solutions at the heart of our post-trade operations. Our platforms identify gaps across systems and support the accuracy and integrity that the bank and its clients rely on.
As a Senior .NET Software Engineer, you will join a squad that owns business-critical reconciliation and depositary platforms, including automated batch pipelines, matching engines and supporting services operating around the clock.
You will work with 10 experienced colleagues across .NET/C#, OpenShift, AWS and MS SQL Server, while driving platform modernisation, cloud migration and security improvements.
The role is based in Vilnius, with a flexible hybrid setup that allows you to work from home 1–2 days per week.
What you will be doing:
- Develop, maintain and modernise .NET/C# services supporting post-trade reconciliation workflows.
- Design efficient, reusable data flows and source-delivery solutions using GraphQL.
- Drive platform modernisation, including OpenShift deployments and AWS cloud adoption.
- Strengthen production security through vulnerability remediation, certificate lifecycle management, and secure token generation and validation.
- Partner with infrastructure, security and operations teams to maintain stable, highly available services.
- Create clear technical documentation, runbooks and operational guides.
- Continuously improve automation and monitoring across batch scheduling and reconciliation platforms.
About you:
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong hands-on expertise in .NET/C# backend development.
- Experience designing, developing, reviewing and debugging complex, production-grade applications.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases, preferably MS SQL Server, including query optimisation and large-scale datasets.
- Experience with containerised, cloud-native or vendor-based solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevSecOps and infrastructure as code.
- Understanding of event-driven or message-queue architectures such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, as well as TLS/mTLS, certificate management and production security practices.
- Ability to take technical ownership, contribute to architectural decisions and deliver reliable, maintainable solutions in a regulated environment.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- It would be an advantage to have experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes, AWS, VisualCron or similar enterprise scheduling tools, GraphQL, and post-trade, custody, reconciliation or financial operations.
What we offer you:
Monthly salary range from 3680 EUR to 5520 EUR gross (based on competencies relevant to the role).
Additionally, each Danske Bank employee receives an employee benefits package, which includes:
- Growth opportunities: a professional and supportive team, e-learning, development programmes (including professional certificates) and 100+ professions for internal mobility opportunities.
- Health & well-being: a diverse and inclusive work environment that supports work–life balance, additional health insurance, mental well-being practices, partial psychologist counselling compensation, silence and sleep zones at the office, and game rooms.
- Hybrid working conditions: work from home up to two days a week, a home office budget (after the probation period), and a modern Danske Campus workplace designed with an anthropologist to support the best employee experience.
- Additional days of leave: for rest, health, volunteering, exams at higher education institutions and other important activities, plus additional days based on your seniority at Danske Bank.
- Monetary compensation package: accident and critical illness insurance, financial support in case of unfortunate events, travel insurance, and third-pillar pension fund contributions.
