This role provides an opportunity to work with a diverse technology stack including Database Technologies (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, IBM Db2), Cloud Platforms (AWS), Data Replication and Migration Technologies (AWS DMS, CDC), Automation (Ansible, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Python, APIs), Containerization (EKS, OpenShift), Data Platform Technologies, Security and Compliance controls, Performance Engineering, High Availability and Disaster Recovery architectures, and AI-enabled database operations.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design, build, and maintain enterprise database platforms supporting critical business applications.
• Lead and support database modernization initiatives, including migrations to PostgreSQL, cloud-native, and managed database services.
• Automate database provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and operational processes.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Optimize database performance, availability, capacity, and cost efficiency.
• Support cloud database adoption and platform transformation initiatives in AWS and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Ensure database platforms comply with security, audit, risk, and regulatory requirements.
• Explore and apply AI-powered capabilities to improve database operations, automation, and observability

About You

We believe you are a strong match for this role if you have a solid background in database engineering and a passion for building reliable, modern, and automated database platforms.

• 5+ years of experience in Database Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB, IBM Db2, or similar database technologies (one from the list).
• Experience designing and supporting highly available and resilient database environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and database platforms.
• Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, and APIs.
• Knowledge of database monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and capacity management.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Self-driven, proactive, and willing to take ownership of technical challenges.

Interest or experience in applying AI technologies to database operations and engineering practices is an advantage.

What We Offer You

Monthly salary range from 4080 EUR to 6120 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
