TheService Depot Technicianis responsible forproviding high-quality in-house repair, maintenance and calibration activities on our Multimode Plate Reader platforms and test,repairand recertification of Multimode Validation plates.The successful candidate will be a results-driven individual with passion for customer satisfaction and who is excited to be part of a new team. The candidatedemonstratesexcellent troubleshooting and meticulous documentation skills in an ISO 9001 environment.Interaction withcross-functionalteam members is essential, including Service, Product Development,Operationsand the Customer.
This positionreports to theService Manager Depot & Trainingandis part of theEuropean Service teamlocatedinSalzburg; Austriaand will beanon-siterole.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Perform in-house repair,maintenanceand calibration activities to agreed service levels on the Molecular Devices range of Multimode Plate Readers. Will include exposure to multiple disciplines including electrical, electronic, fluidics, mechanical and optical technologies.
Documentation and administration of the functional processes and procedures relating to these duties,utilisingCRM database.
Maintain adequate service part stocking levels to support repair duties.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Basic level of education in electrical /electronics/ mechatronics and proven, hands-on mechanical aptitude
Excellent mechanical andsystemstroubleshooting skills and attention to detail, with high quality standardsadopted at all times
Test, troubleshoot, repair and recertifyMultiModeValidation Plates following procedures and protocols.Operate and perform calibration on plate reader instruments following procedures and protocols.Meticulous documentation and verification of all test results.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Abilityand willingnessto travel overnight, within territory orother Europelocations, as and when required by the business.
Ability to lift,moveorcarry equipmentup to20kg.
It would be a plus if you alsopossesspreviousexperience in:
Working in a highlyorganisedmanner with ability to coordinate multiple priorities within demanding and tight timescales
Proficiencyin Microsoft Office
