Job Description
The Finance Head will be responsible for leading the overall finance and accounting function of the organization, ensuring robust financial planning, cost control, statutory compliance, treasury management, budgeting, and business partnering to support profitable growth in an auto component manufacturing environment. The role requires strong expertise in manufacturing finance, costing, working capital management, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the overall Finance & Accounts function, ensuring achievement of business objectives, profitability targets, and sustainable financial growth.
- Drive annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, long-term financial planning, and strategic decision support for management.
- Oversee product costing, standard costing, variance analysis, and cost optimization initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Monitor plant performance, manufacturing overheads, material consumption, labor productivity, and operational efficiencies to improve margins.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, MIS reports, and management dashboards.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, treasury operations, and fund utilization to maintain healthy liquidity.
- Lead inventory valuation, inventory control, and working capital improvement initiatives across plants and warehouses.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and corporate requirements including GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, and other applicable laws.
- Coordinate and manage statutory audits, internal audits, cost audits, tax audits, and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Drive capital expenditure (CAPEX) evaluation, investment analysis, business case preparation, and post-implementation reviews.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and HR teams to improve profitability, productivity, and overall business performance.
- Develop and strengthen internal control systems, financial governance frameworks, and risk management processes.
- Lead ERP and digital transformation initiatives to enhance financial controls, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency.
- Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team while driving a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Present financial performance, business insights, and strategic recommendations to the CEO, Board of Directors, and key stakeholders for informed decision-making.
