/// THE ROLE ///

We are seeking a reliable and motivated new person to join our kitchen team and assist our Heaf Chef. You will be working in our busy commercial kitchen helping with morning preparation, breakfast service and a busy lunch service. In this fast-paced environment, the new person will work with our existing team preparing high-quality homemade meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for cooking, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to learn and grow within a busy kitchen setting.

/// RESPONSIBILITIES ///

• Assist with food preparation including chopping, portioning, and pre-cooking ingredients.
• Cook basic dishes under the supervision of our Head Chef.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen stations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met.
• Receive and store deliveries, checking for quality and proper storage.
• Assist in plating and presentation of dishes during busy lunch service.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
• Help monitor inventory and report shortages or spoilage.

/// REQUIREMENTS ///

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen tools.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.

• Full-time position: Monday - Saturday (midweek day off)
• Part-time position: 3-4 days, Monday to Saturday
• 8am – 4pm
