Job Description
Summary: D.R. Horton, Inc., the largest homebuilder in the U.S., is currently looking for a Finance Intern to assist the Corporate Finance and Treasury Department. The intern will support various functions within the accounting/finance department, manage debt portfolios, and help with treasury functions while gaining exposure to the company's operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in evaluating and executing debt & equity financings and capital structure / capital allocation decisions
- Manage and monitor the debt portfolios of D.R. Horton and D.R. Horton’s subsidiaries, including revolving credit facilities and senior notes. The Corporate Finance Intern will play a meaningful role in debt refinancing, renewals, compliance, and payoffs
- Support treasury functions of D.R. Horton and D.R. Horton’s subsidiaries, including cash management and planning
- Assist in managing D.R. Horton’s corporate stock buyback program and Forestar’s at-the-market equity issuance program
- Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports
- The intern will also be encouraged to explore other areas of interest to learn more about the general operations of the company; vision both within and outside of the assigned department that will be supplemental to the learning experience
- Conducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to travel overnight
Required Qualifications:
- Must currently be enrolled in an accredited 4-year college or university and seeking a Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
- Proficiency with MS Office and email
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work overtime
- Ability to travel overnight
