Analyst, Financial Reporting & Analysis at CVS Health in Remote

The Analyst will be responsible for completing accounting tasks, preparing journal entries, and conducting variance analysis while ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting. Responsibilities: - Support the month-end close process, including journal entry preparation, reconciling accounts, and producing accurate financial statements - Prepare and review account reconciliations and verify accuracy of the general ledger - Conduct variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate discrepancies - Interpret contract language affecting Medicaid plans - Process invoice payments - Assist with collections of outstanding Medicaid settlements - Provide documentation and information for internal and external audits - Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analysis within the controllership organization Required Qualifications: - Experience in Microsoft Excel; ability to work with large data sets and build/maintain complex spreadsheets - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Preferred Qualifications: - 1+ year of experience in accounting or finance with an emphasis on month end close and analysis - Familiarity with financial systems or reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, Sequel, SAP) - Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, reliable work - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines - Solid written and verbal communication skills, including ability to summarize findings clearly Required Skills: Microsoft Excel, Accounting, Financial Reporting Important Skills: Variance Analysis, Financial Systems Benefits: Affordable medical plan options, 401(k) plan (including matching company contributions), Employee stock purchase plan, No-cost programs for all colleagues including wellness screenings, tobacco cessation and weight management programs, confidential counseling and financial coaching, Benefit solutions that address the different needs and preferences of our colleagues including paid time off, flexible work schedules, family leave, dependent care resources, colleague assistance programs, tuition assistance, retiree medical access and many other benefits depending on eligibility.
