Job Description
Summary: Customers Bank is a high-performing, digital-forward financial institution committed to innovation, collaboration, and community impact. The internship program offers students hands-on experience in various business areas, including Fund Finance, where interns will support client engagement, credit analysis, and deal execution activities.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to department assignments aligned to business needs
- Analyze data, support process improvements, and assist with research
- Participate in weekly development workshops and executive speaker sessions
- Work with your intern team to tackle an AI-driven business challenge
- Present your final project and insights to senior leadership
- Build meaningful relationships across the bank through networking and team activities
- Gain an understanding of Fund Finance through active participation in banker and client calls, internal meetings, and special projects
- Provide analytical support to bankers on deal-related matters and team initiatives, including marketing segmentation and loan collateral reporting
- Assist with client segmentation and market research using tools such as PitchBook
- Support bankers and portfolio managers in evaluating new business opportunities, including exposure to term sheets, financial modeling, and client presentations
- Attend team meetings, internal discussions, client pitches, and other relevant forums to build understanding of the business and deal process
- Participate in weekly goal setting, project assignments, and client call planning to stay aligned with team priorities
- Receive ongoing feedback throughout the program to support development and performance
- Complete a 'mock CAM' project, preparing and presenting a credit application for a Fund Finance / Capital Call Facility to a simulated credit committee, providing an opportunity to apply learned concepts and demonstrate understanding of the business
Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship, current or future, to be considered
- Rising senior (Class of 2027) pursuing a bachelor's degree
- Interest in banking, financial services, business, technology, or analytics
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to work full-time for the 10-week summer program
