Job Description
Summary: Curtiss-Wright Corporation is a recognized leader in integrated data acquisition through telemetry systems. The Applications Engineer, Associate will interact with customers to resolve issues, replicate problems in test environments, and assist with system configuration and training.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble custom systems comprised of TTC-CW product for customer demonstration, troubleshooting and/or testing purposes
- Assist the system integration lab (SIL) with testing support of TTC-CW systems
- Provide timely technical phone and e-mail support to resolve customer questions and issues
- Author complete system level training to customer systems, drilling down to individual product capabilities and highlighting key functionality our customers need to succeed
- Assist sales department in configuring systems for purchase from customer requirements
- Ability to travel onsite to customer facilities for on site troubleshooting, system integration events or sales demonstrations of complex systems
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking or related field
- Experience and/or knowledge of installing and operating data collection and measurement sensors with applications in a flight test environment
- Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software
- Ability to communicate issues to multiple audiences of differing levels of expertise
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, co-workers, staff at all levels, customers and outside contacts of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to develop comprehensive training presentations on data collection products/systems and present those materials to a group of educated customers
- Able and willing to work a flexible schedule and/or overtime as needed to meet required deadlines
- Willingness and ability to travel as necessary or required
- Due to the nature of the work performed at this facility, this role may require a DOD Government security clearance. Incumbents must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance while employed by this site
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Wireshark and general networking concepts are also desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook
- Programming Proficiency in higher level programming languages such as Matlab or Python is desirable
