Sales and Service Senior Analyst
Location: US MA Remote
At Curriculum Associates, we believe in the potential of every child and are changing the face of education technology with award-winning learning programs like i-Ready that serve a third of the nation’s K–8 students. For more than 50 years, our commitment to making classrooms better places, serving educators, and supporting accessible learning experiences for all students has driven the continuous improvement of our innovative programs. Our team of more than 2,500 employees is composed of lifelong learners who stand behind this mission, working tirelessly to serve the educational community with world-class programs and support every day.
The Senior Analyst, Sales and Service Operations is a highly technical, cross-functional partner embedded across the Sales and Service Systems, Sales and Service Analysis (Territory and Planning), Commissions, and Deal Desk functions. This role takes on operational and analytical work delegated by team leaders and partners directly with the VP, Sales and Service Operations, owning recurring processes such as the Base Scrub along with ongoing data exploration, reporting, and analytics. The ideal candidate is a naturally curious, highly skilled analyst — fluent in SQL, Salesforce, Alteryx, Power Automate, Power BI, and AI tools — who is as comfortable executing day-to-day tasks as they are designing new, automated, scalable solutions.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
Cross-Team Analytical & Operational Support
Provide analytical and operational support across Sales and Service Systems, Sales and Service Analysis (Territory and Planning), Commissions, and Deal Desk — taking on tasks and projects delegated by team leaders to free up leader capacity for higher-level strategy and management
Serve as a flexible analytical resource that can shift across the four functions based on team priorities and workload
Partner with team leaders to identify recurring or time-intensive tasks that can be transitioned to this role or automated
Direct Support to VP, Sales and Service Operations
Partner directly with the VP on data exploration, new reporting, and ad hoc analysis using SQL, Salesforce, and other operational systems
Own recurring processes such as the Base Scrub, ensuring timely and accurate completion
Build and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into sales, service, and operational performance
Support special projects and analysis as priorities emerge across the broader Sales and Service Operations organization
Commissions Support
Support the Commissions team with onboarding and administering new or additional commission plans, including plan setup, calculation logic, and validation
Assist with commission calculations, data validation, and reporting to help ensure accuracy and timely payout
Help automate and streamline commission processes to support scalability as the team takes on additional plans
Systems, Salesforce & Territory/Planning Support
Support Salesforce operations, including pipeline management, data integrity, reporting, and dashboard development
Support territory planning, account segmentation, and annual planning analytics in partnership with the Analysis, Territory and Planning team
Perform data investigations, testing, and validation to maintain accuracy across Salesforce, Power BI, and related systems
Automation & Process Improvement
Design, build, and maintain automated workflows using Alteryx, Power Automate, SQL, and related tools to reduce manual effort and increase scalability
Proactively identify opportunities across all four functions to replace manual, repetitive tasks with automated or self-service solutions
Apply AI tools to improve analysis, automation, and workflow efficiency
Build repeatable, documented processes and reporting solutions that can scale as the organization grows
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Documentation
Partner with Sales, Service, Finance, and Business Systems to ensure accurate data flows and alignment across systems
Partner with the Data and Analytics team on data identification, supporting projects, and broader analytics initiatives
Document new processes, tools, and reporting solutions to support knowledge transfer and consistency across teams
Required Job Skills and Abilities:
Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries to extract, analyze, and validate data
Hands-on experience with Alteryx (or a similar data preparation/automation tool) to build automated data workflows
Hands-on experience with Power Automate (or a similar workflow automation tool) to design and deploy automated processes
Strong Power BI skills, including building reports, dashboards, and data models
Strong Salesforce experience, including reporting, dashboards, and data integrity
Demonstrated experience using AI tools to improve analysis, automation, or workflow efficiency, with genuine curiosity to explore new applications
Advanced Excel skills
Naturally curious, self-directed problem solver who proactively digs into data and processes to find root causes and build solutions — not just complete tasks
Demonstrated ability to design and build new, automated, and scalable processes and reporting solutions, not solely execute on existing ones
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex, cross-functional datasets
High attention to detail with a strong track record of accuracy and data validation
Ability to manage multiple priorities across four distinct functions (Systems, Territory & Planning, Commissions, Deal Desk) in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical work into clear, audience-appropriate updates and documentation
Collaborative and proactive, comfortable partnering across Sales, Service, Finance, Commissions, and Business Systems
