Job Description
Summary: Albedo is developing Very Low Earth Orbit satellite infrastructure, including spacecraft buses, integrated satellites, and turnkey missions. The Electrical Engineer Intern will design, build, integrate, and troubleshoot electrical ground support equipment and flatsat testbeds while supporting spacecraft hardware integration and testing.
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and integrate electrical ground support equipment (EGSE), including test racks, harnessing, and supporting hardware used for spacecraft integration and test
- Support the design and execution of the flatsat testbed used for hardware/software integration
- Perform hands-on electrical assembly, including soldering, crimping, connector assembly, cable routing, continuity checks, and harness inspection
- Troubleshoot electrical hardware and test setups using standard lab equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and logic analyzers
- Work closely with electrical, software, systems, and AI&T engineers to bring spacecraft hardware from initial design through integration and test
Required Qualifications:
- • Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field
- • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative engineering environment
- • Attention to detail and an appreciation for workmanship, documentation, and repeatable hardware assembly
- Applicants must be a U.S. Person as defined under 22 CFR 120.62
Preferred Qualifications:
- • Hands-on experience with soldering, crimping, or electronics assembly
- • Experience building and troubleshooting electrical systems using common laboratory equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, or logic analyzers
