Our Organic team lives at the intersection of data, content, and technical excellence. We aren't just looking for rankings; we’re looking to solve complex digital puzzles and drive real commercial value. We work hand-in-hand with our Engineering, Commerce, and wider Marketing teams, ensuring that search visibility isn't just an afterthought, but a foundational element of every digital experience we create.

We’re a group of curious, solution-oriented specialists who thrive on uncovering the "why" behind the data and breaking new ground in AI search visibility.

What you’ll be doing

As the Head of Organic at CTI Digital, you’ll be the visionary leading our SEO department. You'll define and scale our agency offerings across Technical SEO, Content, and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO). You'll bridge the gap between technical architecture and commercial success, ensuring our clients stay at the forefront of Search.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic vision: Set the strategic direction for organic discovery, ensuring technical excellence and innovation across our entire client portfolio.
• Commercial: Own the P&L for the Organic business unit. You'll translate search data into tangible, bottom-line commercial outcomes.
• AI & automation: Drive the adoption of agentic workflows and automated systems
• Bridging the gap: Work seamlessly with development teams to embed technical SEO architecture and governance into all CMS, e-commerce, and digital builds from discovery to deployment.
• Unified Search: Work collaboratively with Data and CRM to build cohesive, omnichannel search strategies.
• Team leadership: Lead, mentor, and empower a talented team of channel specialists, fostering a culture of curiosity and continuous growth.
• Industry authority: Own it by positioning CTI Digital as a thought leader in search through engaging white papers, webinars, and industry insights.

What experience you need to be successful

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a mix of commercial acumen, technical mastery, and strong leadership skills. You should be someone who loves the mechanics of search but never loses sight of the bigger business picture.

Key qualities include:

• Organic expertise: Deep knowledge of Technical SEO, Content strategy, and the rapidly evolving landscape of Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).
• Commercial acumen: Proven experience in managing a P&L, with a track record of translating organic performance into demonstrable business impact.
• Technical fluency: A solid understanding of site architecture, CMS platforms, and e-commerce builds, with the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.
• Forward-thinking: Experience or a strong interest in leveraging automation and agentic workflows to streamline operations.
• Cross-functional collaboration: A history of working alongside diverse marketing and tech teams to build holistic strategies.
• Leadership: Experience leading, mentoring, and scaling a team of specialists, bringing out the best in everyone.
• Clear communication: The ability to simplify complex concepts for stakeholders and confidently present insights via webinars or thought leadership pieces.

What sets you apart:

• You have a "get stuck in" attitude and aren't afraid to challenge the status quo.
• You take full ownership of your department and treat your clients' success as your own.
• You are genuinely curious about the future of digital, especially AI's impact on search, and are always looking for the next boundary to break.
