Front End Engineer I (Hybrid) at CrowdStrike in Austin, TX

The role involves contributing to front-end features and components, implementing data visualization components, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance user experiences in cybersecurity. Responsibilities: - Contribute to front-end features and components under guidance from senior engineers - Implement data visualization components using established patterns and libraries - Participate in the code review process for your own code and that of your fellow UI Engineers - Participate in technical discussions and provide input on implementation approaches - Identify opportunities for code improvements and discuss with team leads - Ensure code quality is maintained by writing by unit, integration and end-to-end tests - Follow established coding standards and architectural patterns - Support maintenance and bug fixes for existing applications - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as UX designers, QA engineers, Product Managers, Data/API engineers, and others - Continually learn about the ever-evolving challenges and complexities of the cybersecurity industry as well as front-end engineering Required Qualifications: - Experience with front-end engineering fundamentals (HTML, CSS, Javascript, RESTful API basics, Node/NPM) - Familiarity with modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript - Experience with at least one front end framework such as Lit, Ember, React, Angular, or similar - Basic understanding of responsive UI design principles - Familiarity with version control (Git) and basic development workflows - Willingness to learn data fetching and state management libraries - Interest in learning accessibility (a11y) best practices and tools - Exposure to build tools and package managers - Good collaboration and communication skills in verbal and written formats - Be an advocate for UX consistency, accessibility and empathy for the end user Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with advanced front-end tools (Tailwind, Webpack, GraphQL) - Experience with front end data-mocking services and tools - Experience with data visualization libraries such as amCharts, HighCharts, or similar - Experience working with full featured data grid libraries such as AG Grid or others to build highly interactive, data intensive UIs - Understanding of building scalable UI design systems using atomic design principles - Understanding of Cloud Technologies and end to end delivery of data intensive SaaS products - Knowledge of CI/CD best practices and tools - Understanding of internationalization (i18n) - Familiarity with Amazon Web Services - Prior experience in cybersecurity - Experience with using and contributing to Open Source Libraries Required Skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Front-end framework Important Skills: TypeScript, Responsive UI design, Version control (Git), Data visualization, Cloud Technologies, CI/CD best practices Nice-to-Have Skills: Open Source Libraries, Accessibility (a11y), Collaboration skills, Communication skills Benefits: Comprehensive physical and mental wellness programs, Competitive vacation and holidays for recharge, Paid parental and adoption leaves, Professional development opportunities for all employees regardless of level or role, Employee Networks, geographic neighborhood groups, and volunteer opportunities to build connections, Vibrant office culture with world class amenities, Great Place to Work Certified™ across the globe, Health insurance, 401k, Paid time off
