Summary: Critical Response Group (CRG) is a unique team of U.S Special Operations Forces veterans, public safety professionals, and technical experts committed to enhancing public safety through the implementation of best-in-class technology and training techniques. As a Finance Intern at CRG, you will gain direct exposure to the financial operations of a complex organization, supporting various financial tasks and analyses under the guidance of the VP of Finance. Responsibilities: - Support the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports - Assist with budget development, variance analysis, and financial forecasting - Conduct research and financial modeling to support strategic decision-making - Help maintain and reconcile financial records in accordance with organizational policies - Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries as needed - Participate in audit preparation and internal controls documentation - Analyze financial data and present findings through dashboards, summaries, and briefings - Support contract review processes and track financial deliverables across projects - Contribute to ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as directed by the Required Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field - Strong academic record - Strong analytical and quantitative skills with keen attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion - Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications: - Prior internship or work experience in finance, accounting, or a related field - Familiarity with financial software platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) - Interest or background in government, defense, emergency management, or public sector finance - Knowledge of federal contracting, grant management, or government accounting standards (a plus) - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic financial modeling) Required Skills: Financial analysis, Financial reporting, Budget development, Variance analysis, Financial forecasting, Financial modeling, Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, General ledger, Audit preparation, Internal controls, Financial software platforms, Data visualization tools, Microsoft Excel
