Packaging - Machine Operator at Cresco Labs in Yellow Springs, OH

Summary: Cresco Labs is one of the largest public operators in the cannabis industry, seeking a Machine Operator to join their Packaging team in Yellow Springs, OH. The role involves operating and maintaining packaging machinery, ensuring product quality, and adhering to safety standards in a GMP production facility. Responsibilities: - Ensure accurate set up, safe & accurate operation and sanitary clean-up of RollPros Blackbird and other packaging machinery that may include: heat sealers, labelers, combination scales, indexing assembly lines, pouchers, etc - Understand the process flow chart and individual machine operating parameters well enough to be able to produce products as required by established process specifications and efficiency requirements - Operate equipment within established guidelines to ensure products meet quality standards; maintain awareness of quality and adjust process within specifications to attain high-quality products - Remove defective product & packages from machine and rework into usable production units - Maintain constant visual check on all areas of operation -- equipment, product, film, labels, packaging, etc. Report and correct any discrepancies or failures to Supervisor - Perform all assigned duties required to ensure a clean and safe, GMP production facility - Ensure personal hygiene is acceptable under standards set by Cresco Labs before performing any production activities by washing hands, wearing a hair net, changing clothes, etc - Complete the sanitation of all production equipment and tools including workspace, production and packaging equipment - Complete audits on work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods (FG) prerolls to ensure accurate inventory counts - Fill out appropriate documentation such as Manufacturing Forms (MFs) and Packaging & Labeling Formulas (PLFs) - Monitor equipment consumables and notify Supervisor when reorders are required - Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: - Experience in a field and/or operation that adheres to strict health and safety policies and procedures, preferably a regulated field producing products for human consumption - Strong effective task-management skills, ability to multi-task and adhere to strict policies and procedures - Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing and challenging environment - Experience in operating machinery a plus - Effective communication skills; strong attention-to-detail - Ability to stand for at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds to torso level is necessary - Exercise and demonstrate cause and effect logic for troubleshooting - Ability to read, understand and apply learnings to PLC displays, machinery dials, measurement devices and working parts of large-scale machinery - Must be 21 years of age or older to apply - Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry Required Skills: Machine Operation, Packaging Machinery Operation, Sanitation Procedures, Inventory Auditing, Troubleshooting, PLC Display Interpretation, Health, Safety Compliance, Task Management Benefits: Major medical, Dental and vision insurance, A 401(K)-match program, FSA/HSA programs, LTD/STD options, Life insurance, AD&D, Paid holidays, Paid time off, Annual discretionary bonuses, Stock options, Participation in our employee discount program
