Job Description
Summary: Credit Acceptance is an award-winning company recognized for its workplace culture and commitment to professional development. As an ML/AI Intern, you will support the democratization of ML/AI technologies, assisting in the development and optimization of solutions to meet internal customer needs while learning about machine learning applications.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in identifying and building solutions for various GenAI problems
- Support the end-to-end lifecycle of ML and AI projects, from scoping and adaptation to application integration, monitoring, and performance management
- Aid in the investigation of ML and AI methodologies, including deep learning, LLM, and graph NN, to address diverse challenges across different business verticals and customers
- Help build and deploy contextual Chatbots and analytical tools to provide bespoke responses to internal and external customers across different platforms
- Participate in the development and fine-tuning of LLM models trained on internal multi-modal data (e.g., documents, policies, PDFs, graphs, text) for new problem sets
- Collaborate with team members to foster a culture of widespread ML utilization
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a graduate level degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a relevant technical field
- Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques
- Hands-on experience with deep learning models, reinforcement algorithms, or recommendation systems
- Eagerness to learn and apply new skills in a practical setting
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
Preferred Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a master's or PhD degree
- Well awareness and experience of using techniques across LLM models, data mining, NLP, or computer vision through coursework or personal projects
- Knowledge of basic programming languages (e.g., Python) and machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch)
