Job Description
Summary: Charles Perry Partners, Inc. (CPPI) is a leading general contracting, design-build, and construction management firm. The IT Intern will support the IT department by providing technical support, assisting with system maintenance, and contributing to ongoing IT projects while gaining hands-on experience in troubleshooting and technology needs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to employees by troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, printers, and other IT equipment
- Support system updates, software installations, and security patching
- Maintain and update IT documentation, system inventories, and user accounts
- Monitor and respond to IT help desk requests in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with basic network maintenance and connectivity troubleshooting
- Support data backup processes and ensure proper data storage practices
- Participate in IT-related projects such as system upgrades, software rollouts, and technology improvements
- Provide general administrative support to the IT department
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and common workplace applications
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and technical systems
